- Choice of an explorer male or female (european only) as aoe only introduced females in the second one. They could be faster, but weaker.
-If your explorer is alive, it boosts your units' stats, as it would boost their morale. But being dead would have a reverse effect.

I don't think that female explorers should be weaker, that would be sexist.
